FXA Perth landscape photography workshop experiences and my lessons learned – Janice Kho

Landscape photography has become one of my favourite genres of photography since I changed over to the Fujifilm X mirrorless camera system. It’s hard to go wrong with the combination of experiencing nature and its beauty with the creativity of photography. When I heard from our fellow FXA Perth reps Gus and Chong that they were looking into organising FXA Perth’s first ever landscape photography workshop down in Margaret River, I was stoked! I was also excited to hear a fellow FXA Facebook community member James Posilero will be running the workshop. I’ve long admired his beautiful landscape photography that he shares in the group. It was a fun and educational weekend down in the Margaret River region of Western Australia. It was also the perfect sized group of 6 photographers. We got to know each other, our photography interests and also learned from each other.

Welcome one and all to a new year of blogs and content on the Fuji X Aus site made especially for the Fuji X Aus community. 2019! When I was a kid, 2019 was the far distant future where we all had flying cars and jetpacks. Whilst no jetpack, not to worry, as we have access to the best camera system currently on the planet. To kick things off, we have a guest blogger today in Stephen Vincent-Grace. Stephen is a travel photographer and blogger of his own amazing site and today he shares with us some of his journey and experience with Fujifilm X Series. Stephen, the floor is all yours…

The workshop was headed by our amazing James Posilero and organised by our Perth Admin – Gus Potenza. This took months in the making and I was glad that it went off without a hitch – Chong Lee.

Landscape techniques with the Fujifilm X Series – Part II

Over the past few weeks I have been writing a series of blogs for the Fuji X Aus site. The key to these blogs has been and will continue to be all about gathering the thoughts, opinions, insights, skills, workflows and tips directly from members of the Fuji X Aus Facebook group. These blogs will be about some of those key photography questions that we see discussed in the group on a fairly regular basis.  And in return it is my hope that these blogs will give back to the greater community a wealth of information. The members are approached by myself for a short interview to gain a little insight into who they, what they shoot and why they use Fujifilm X Series products.
